A Summer Message
From Bsafe Online
That?s one of the reasons the U.S. Senate declared June ?National Internet Safety Month." Our lawmakers know that when kids are out of school they spend much more time online, and the potential for them to be lured by a sexual predator or to view pornography is much greater. Of course, all of you with Bsafe Online have much less need to worry about those dangers. But it might be a good time of year to use our ?time of day? controls to limit how much time online your child spends this summer. You can also be notified by email at work if your child tries to access a site that?s been blocked by Bsafe. In this edition of our newsletter you can find out how to know if a sexual offender lives near you. It?s something every parent should know, especially if you work and leave your children home alone in the summer. Also in this newsletter you?ll find an article on the ?Top Five Internet Scams?. Don?t be phished out of your family?s vacation money! And what about those Webcams-can they be dangerous? Learn how they?ve been abused in the past and how to avoid the dangers. And while we?re working hard to keep your family safe, let?s not forget about your PC. Read ?How Much Protection Do I Need?? to learn how Bsafe Online?s full Security Suite can protect your computer from viruses and more. Thank you for allowing Bsafe Online to be a part of your family! We hope you have a safe, enjoyable summer!
Freedom has its life in the hearts, the actions, the spirit of men and so it must be daily earned and refreshed—else like a flower cut from its life-giving roots, it will wither and die. - Dwight D. Eisenhower
