An Easter Message From Bsafe Online

Spring; it’s a favorite time of year for many. After the chill of winter it’s wonderful to see the trees budding, the flowers blooming and the snow gone.  With all that beauty that God created, sometimes we forget the ugly that’s freely and too easily available to our children online, and it’s going to get worse.  Just recently the U.S. District court in Philadelphia overturned the Child Online Protection Act, confirming what we at Bsafe already knew; you can’t depend on the government to protect your children.  The 1998 law made it a crime for commercial web site operators to let children have access to pornographic material.  Justices ruled the law violated the first amendment’s freedom of speech for the pornographers. As you scratch your head wondering what the justices were thinking, we’re grateful that you’ve trusted Bsafe Online to help in protecting your family online.

As the weather warms its natural for children to be outside more, even walking to places parents would normally drive them.  The added freedom could lend an opportunity to meet a new “friend” they met online without your knowledge.  Be sure and talk with your children about the dangers of on-line predators. Hopefully the article we’ve included in this newsletter about Child Predators will inform parents as well.  And by all means take advantage of the features in our new PredAlert. It’s meant to help stop predators from contacting your child and also monitors and filters your child’s Instant Message (IM) converstaions.

There’s just something about Spring that makes us want to clean. It’s not just our homes that need a once-over, but our computers as well.  Learn how to do just that in our article about Spring Cleaning for your PC. Also in this newsletter, an informative article on Spyware. The bad news is you may not realize how bad the problem is, the good news is Bsafe provides you with the tools to protect not only your pc but your pocketbook. And as always we’re continually trying to be as user-friendly as possible.  We’ve included answers to the Top Five Online Customer Queries.  This article may save you a call to our customer support, but if it doesn’t our friendly support staff is always willing to help.

Thank you for being a supporter of Bsafe Online as we continue to strive for the latest and best in technology available to protect families online.  However, no technology will work unless there is a caring and concerned person willing to use it, and that’s what our customers are. Thank You!

Bsafe Online wishes everyone a blessed Easter!
