How Bad is the Problem? (Child Pornography/Exploitation)
Everyday over 45 million children between the ages of 10 – 17 are online, and out of those children, 1 in 33 receive a sexual solicitation online, and nearly 60% receive some type of online communication from a stranger.

10 Ways to Protect Yourself From ID Theft

Identity theft that takes place over the internet is called Phishing. Phishing, i.e., fishing for information and hooking victims, is a criminal activity using social engineering techniques. Phishers attempt to fraudulently acquire sensitive information (e.g., passwords and credit card details) by masquerading as a trustworthy person or business in an electronic communication.

Dangers and Risks Posed by IM
In less time than it takes to finish the Math problem, a complete stranger has befriended your 12-year old daughter. And yes it is that easy! We’ve all heard the horror stories, on Dateline NBC and other news forums of our youth being identified and victimized by predators using the Internet and more specifically, Instant Messenger (IM).
